HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hopefully 2025 can get a little better than the last year was. Also hoping to share more of our life in Tennessee. In February I’m going to Norway after 2 years away and Sam will come the 17th, and we will travel home together on the 24th of Feb.
I will be better at taking photos and be out and about. Read more books, for sure. I think I read 41 books last year, I don’t know if I can read more than that, but we can only hope!
Will def look for a job after I have been in Norway, also get a bank account and a driver license, cause now I’m driving on my Norwegian one. In 4 years I can apply for citizenship too! Gotta start studying!
OH HEY THERE
Where to start?
I’ve finally gotten my resident card and I can now say I live in Tennessee, for real. No more immigration stuff, until I go through with the citizenship and that’s at least 3 more years until.
My mom got cancer, and had to deal with that, but they found it out pretty early. They got to remove it all, so no more cancer for mom!
My dear uncle died of cancer. That’s sad, but at least he got do die in his own home surrounded by his closest.
I thought I had cancer for a small period, so I sent a stool test to the lab. It came back negative, so hurray for hemorrhoids. My thyroid tests are clean and well. Going to OBGYN next Monday to replace an implant in my arm for birth control.
We didn’t do anything on Halloween. For my birthday I think we stayed in and went to eat lunch or dinner the next day. Sam bought me a Steamdeck, that is a handhold console, where you can play games. Next year I turn 40, that will be fun!
For Thanksgiving this year, we are going to Florida, to visit mother-in-law. From Wednesday to Saturday.
Christmas this year, I think we are just gonna stay in our apartment. No plans at all. Sam gotta work anyways.
I’ve started to make coasters out of perler beads. Look it up.
LET ME TELL YOU
Oh my goodness. What a month.
My in-laws went to Europe, for a vacation. So I was dogsitting and housesitting. Very relaxing. The day they left, Molly was super sad, understandable, but luckily 2 days later, friends of the in-laws came with their dog. So she finally got some company. I watched them both, when Steven and Lisa went to Lisa’s son’s wedding Thursday and Friday. I also watched them when they went to a city in Georgia for a daytrip. I earned 150 bucks out just for 3 days. I wasn’t expected this, I do this for free! Anyways, I have been watching a lot of Housewives on Peacock, what a drama drama drama show.
I have seen a rabbit, a possum, deers and a snake. Black rat snake, that are supposed to live in trees. I don’t know where it came from. All we know is that it came on the terrasse when it was a thunderstorm out. And it crawled back to the shed and that’s is the last place I have seen it. I named it Gertrude. Also NOT dangerous nor poisonous. My in-laws have never seen a snake by their house before, so I guess I call it luck?! Sam has also never seen a snake in this town.
I have also been driving around a lot and recently filled up my car with gas and it’s just 30 bucks. Around 300 kroners. For full tank! Very cheap.
I’m gonna housesit for 1 week and next Friday, they are coming home. Too bad it’s gonna rain and big thunderstorms are coming my way this week. I was looking forward to tan a little, but I guess I’m not that lucky! I did get a little sunburned the 2 days I was here before Steven and Lisa came here.
Hopefully I can tan by the pool when I get home. :)
NASHVILLE
We went to Nashville 17th of April, where we slept at a weird hotel, Comfort Inn, they are supposed to be really good, but not in that area. We arrived late Wednesday and I fell asleep pretty much right away, while Sam went to bed around 1am. I woke up at 2am and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I was soooooooooooooo hungry, that I ate some of his snacks.
W did our interview at USCIS and we think it went well. So now we waiiiiiiiiiit. :)
