BYE 2023 HELLO 2024
Long time no see!
What have happened since last time? Even I don’t remember that, but I have a journal that I scribble in, so that might help me a little.
Saturday 23rd of December, we drove down to Florida, with a small pit stop at an Inn, called Microtel Inn & Suites. Let me just tell you, don’t ever go there. We got a handicap room, the bathroom was dirty, the faucet was dirty, the toilet, ew, it’s a disaster and also the shower faucet was gross.
The bed was okay, but the comforter had old blood stains on it, so that’s not charming. We overslept the day after and missed breakfast, but I feel like we didn’t miss much of that.
Sunday 24th of December, we arrived at Sheri’s house in Florida. We did some relaxing before we headed to Grandma’s house, just 4min down the road. We had some dinner there, turkey and stuffing. Later we played games, opened presents and had a great laugh. We also went out driving to look at Christmas lights.
Monday 25th of December, we slept for quite some time. Sheri’s friend came to visit and joined us for dinner at Grandma’s. After dinner, Sam, Sheri and I went to see the Manatees. They are only there in Florida when it’s winter and they are only underwater. Cute little things. After that, Sheri drove us home and she went to Grandma’s. We finished The Crown, last season.
Tuesday 26th of December, lunch at Grandma’s, but first Sheri and I went to the bookstore, where I bought 9 books for myself and 1 book for Sheri. Lunch was good and we took some selfies. Headed out on the road again to a new Inn and that was such a better option. Big room, big bathroom and we didn’t miss out on the breakfast. It’s called Comfort Inn & Suites.
Wednesday 27th of December, we got breakfast and headed out again. Next stop was Buc-ees, where I bought a cup, a frozen bag and snacks. Got home around 12pm and I took a nap that lasted for longer than I expected.
Next year is around the corner and my blog posts will be in both Norwegian and English from January.
Happy New Year to you and your dear ones!
